Charleston Insider's Guide > Restaurants & Dining > Seafood Restaurants

Seafood is the crown jewel of the Charleston dining scene. There are literally hundreds of seafood restaurants in the area to choose from. You will also find that most places to eat, regardless of the cuisine, feature at least a small amount of seafood. She-crab soup, shrimp and grits, and oyster stew are among the most popular choices. Grouper and flounder are usually among the fresh catch that most restaurants offer daily. The hard part is figuring out which of these many restaurants is worth your time and money.

Below are our recommendations for the best seafood in Charleston. Some are elegant and formal, others are very casual. Prices range across the board, but we're sure one or two of these fine establishments is just right for you.
